Integration Trip 2010

This Youth Integration trip was held at the Drayton Manor Adventure Park. The aim of this trip was to integrate young members of the BME and non BME groups to promote integration, community cohesion, diversity and cross cultural exchange of languages. We have had participants of all gender and suitable ages for this trip from BME and non BME groups including, Bangladeshi, Welsh, Indian, Pakistani, Chinese, Afro Caribbean, English, Irish and other Europeans.

After the visit at the park on the way back to Port Talbot we handed out feedback forms for all the participants. All the participants provided a very positive feedback on this trip mainly on the following points:

  • Through this trip they made so many friends from different cultures and backgrounds.
  • This trip had brought together all communities (race, age gender and disability) in Neath Port Talbot as well as Swansea and Cardiff. It was both diverse and inter-generational.
  • Enjoyed and learnt a lot in different wild life attractions from all around the world.
  • Trip was very educational in every sense.
  • Had a great day out with their family and friends.
  • Some said had the best time of their life.

This event marks the first of three events that Neath Port Talbot Tigers have put together with the help of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council and the Welsh Assembly Government Community Cohesion Fund.
